Our quarterly region meeting will be on Saturday, July 26th in Madison Heights.  The meeting will be hosted by the Gokey family.  This will be a pool party/bbq and all who attend are asked to bring a dish to pass.  The meeting will be from 2 to 5pm.

Our executive board meeting has been scheduled for June 25th.  There is no executive board meeting before July GMM.  I not know how to change calender, so I hope officers take note that future executive board meetings will be scheduled by MaryEllen at the next GMM.  Locations will also be determined at that time.

Just a reminder that next Sunday, June 22nd is our fellowship brunch.  We will be meeting at The Loon River Cafe located in the Sterling Inn Hotel on 15 mile rd and Van Dyke.  This resturant has a fantastic buffet with both a desert and salad table that varies weekly.  They also have omelets made to order and delicious main items.  Please rsvp MaryEllen if you are planning on attending.  Due to summer months and people vacationing at the hotel, there could be a wait.  A reservation would be most helpful.

The City of Warren Parks and Recreation Department is running Summer Blast in July, 2008. We have been asked to provide at least three workers for the event from 12PM - 6PM on July 26, 2008. This is in exchange for the City of Warren providing us a place to hold our monthly meetings. We need to fill these slots so please step up and help out with Sumer Blast! Its a fun event and it may even get us a few new members if your interested please contact us at (877) 437-3761 you don’t have to be a Jaycee to volunteer.

There is a $60 buy in with no rebuys.

Just a reminder that the Region F quarterly meeting is on Saturday, May 3rd at the John Grant Community Center in Farmington Hills.

Please RSVP at you earliest conveinence because we need a count for food.

The cost is $5.00 a person.  Please support your region…Warren never has alot of people there.  So think about it.

Afterwards, Beers of the World will be happening at SIPS in Farmington.  It is $10 a Jaycee and alot of beers to taste!

The President has scheduled the Haunted House meeting at Friday’s on VanDyke just north of 14 mile rd.  We will be meeting to discuss the various haunted house committees and put together a game plan.  PLEASE we need all those interested to attend that day. This is a BIG project and we need help!!!

We would like to thank the community for coming out and supporting our annual Easter Egg Hunt. It was a cold and snowy Saturday afternoon but we had a record turn out for our annual event! We are always looking for new members if you like projects like ours we would love to have you join us!

Congratulations to Rebecca and Gary Darner.   They are the proud parents of Jacob Dylan born Thursday 2/28  at 6:41pm.  He weighs 7.5 lbs and is 20 inches.  According to mom,” he has dark hair and blue eyes”.  Mom, Dad and baby Jacob are doing great, although a little tired!  We cannot wait to meet the new little Jaycee.

Please join us tonight at Motor City Joe’s Coffeehouse located on Hoover just north of 12 mile rd. for a very important meeting.  Pat Torres from Westland will be discussing the ins and outs of building a haunted house.  Our chapter is considering one this Halloween.So come with exciting questions to ask him.The meeting will begin at 7pm.

For our signature event “Santa’s Great Bike Give Away”. This project activated over 1/2 of your base membership and helped children within the City of Warren by giving these great children a brand new bike for Christmas!We are already working on “Santa’s Great Bike Give Away” 2008 we are hoping to help even more children in 2008!  

The Michigan Jaycees are hosting their 4th Quarter 2007 Convention in Romulus Michigan. We have submitted our Signature Project “Santa’s Great Bike Give Away” in the hopes of bringing home the award and getting more people involved in the event this year!We will have a full run down of the happens in Romulus in the next few day, come back and visit us then or hop in your car and head to the convention yourself, I am sure it will be a blast!

We will be meeting briefly at Motor City Joes’s Coffee House (they have new owners its not called the Mudd Hut so I am told) after the Mystery speaker next Tuesday Feb 12. The speaker will be at 7PM the mini meeting will follow the speaker. We look forward to seeing you there.
